With one foot in the fantasy world.

Dance to the Rhythm of the Universe

Because I grew up with the sound of the ocean, it’s soothing to me.  It sounds like the earth breathing in and out as it whispers secrets meant only for me.  Perhaps a bit romantic, but the rhythm does make me feel whole.   Do certain sounds call to you?

Believe me, this isn’t such an unusual sentiment.  Deepak Chopra says, “The rhythms and movement of the planets is mirrored in the rhythms of nature, as well as those within our own bodies. We are, indeed, the totality of the Universe, in motion.”

Please forgive me, but I’m still behind in my word count.  So, I’m off.

Till next time,

Elizabeth

  1. Lovely post thank you Elizabeth! The sound of the sea is the best, and I love your description of the earth breathing in and out. I remember doing a long walk on Robberg beach many years ago and talking to the sea, aloud. 5 kms one way and then on the 5 km back I listened.

    • That quote is so beautiful and it says it all. Funny, I can see you going one way telling the sea wonderful stories and on the way back nodding as you listen to the sea’s tales. Thank you.

I grew up going to Lake Tahoe every summer and then spent another four and a half years there for college, so the lake is my happy place.
